3. The practical component involves the handling of firearms to evaluate the shooter in respect of(1) the shooter’s conduct at the firing line;
(2) the shooter’s respect for the safety officer’s authority;
(3) the use of required equipment;
(4) the loading and unloading of firearms; and
(5) the manner in which the shooter cleans firearms.
That component also includes a firing exercise of at least 20 shots using real ammunition.
